This concept of Voluntary Welfare ("personal responsibility")
or "private charity" worked fine ever since the early days of
the world's "religious revolutions." Private charity to those
less fortunate than yourselves has always been a universal concept in all
of the world's many religions. The family unit and church or temple had
successfully redistributed wealth for over 5000 years... then came Marx.
In 1849 a man named Karl Marx wrote a book called the Communist
Manifesto (86K) that would completely change the world as we knew it.
Mr. Marx had a new philosophy he called socialism or "Public Charity"
that would take the place of private charity, and put charitable power in
the hands of government.
Marx thought that the most wealthy portion of the population, the middle
class, was not being charitable enough and required some additional government
force to get this section of society to give up it's wealth. Today, just
140 years after his book was written, over 2,800,000,000 people now follow
his philosophies--more than half of the world's population. The words "
It's all just a communist plot " have much deeper believability today
than these same words had in the 1950's because today, it's coming true.
What we all must remember is that the ultimate communist goal was called
"Utopia,""World Communism," or, "A New Socialist
World Order" in Karl's own words.
Marxist philosophies were drawn in the age of the "Industrial Revolution."
These were strange times for the world as millions of farmers traded in
their plows for factory jobs and some of these farmers become industrialist
millionaires overnight. This was a radical time of change for a world that
had spent the past 5000 years farming. This lightning fast transition from
the farming age to industrial age left millions of people hungry, broke,
envious and angry. Marx formed labor unions in Germany and England; descendants
coming to the United States formed them here as well.
Most Americans do not realize that half of all federal laws in the USA match
the writings of Karl Marx to the letter but this does not mean we are really
following communism but rather "liberal communism
or western communism." From our graduated income tax system, to
the ever incessant drive to centralize all government power in Washington
D.C.
